Post craft fair analysis

Well, I didn't manage to get another post in before the craft fair, but I thought I'd post a very quick review of how it went, and it went great! The fair itself was in a church hall in the West End of Dundee, and although it was a little out of the city centre, it benefited from being next to a sweet little cafe, which not only brought people in to browse the crafts, but also furnished me with tea and cake mid-morning :) Here's a little piccie of me and my stall.

I was very pleased to not only cover my table costs, but also to make a profit too! The day was not as busy as I'd hoped, but the organisers informed me at the end that it was the quietest fair they'd had yet, which bodes well for future fairs. Luckily I wasn't bored, there were potential customers in dribs and drabs to talk to, other stall holders to meet, and Rachael from Sew Ray Me at the table next to me which meant a lot of sewing and toddler chat too :)

It was so exciting making my first sales, and although no monsters went to new homes, I got a lot of positive comments about them, and sold a couple of my notebooks. I had a couple of new monsters to sell too, and you can see some snapshots below.
This furry fellow is called Arboreal Secret Keeper
This cheery lady is called Polka
All in all, a worthwhile day, and think I'll do more in the future. I have learned a few lessons though. Next time I'll take more layers to wear and a cushion! The chairs were comfy, but they got less comfy as the day wore on!

For the next while, I'm going to turn my hand to more domestic matters. There are a few sewing jobs at home that I've been neglecting in my fair prep, so I'm off to write a list. See you all next time!
